Schedule Release for Gators Volleyball

AUBURN, WASH. (GRC) – Year two of the Burton era begins on the road in Mount Vernon as the Gators take on the Cardinals of Skagit Valley in Duvall Pavilion on August 26th.

The Gators will again face off with the Cardinals, but this time the North Idaho College Cardinals, when they venture over the Cascade Mountains to Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, where they will compete in the Idaho Border Crossover hosted by North Idaho College alongside Spokane Colleges. The Cardinals of North Idaho are a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Green River will have four matches over two days, August 28th and 29th, between the two schools. 

August 31st brings the Gators back to The Swamp as they play host to the Rangers of Olympic College, first serve at 6:00 p.m.

As the calendar flips to September, GRC will again travel east, this time to Pendleton, Ore., and Walla Walla, Wash., with four games over two days. On September 4th Green River will take on Wenatchee Valley College and Blue Mountain Community College at BMCC. The following day in Walla Walla, the Gators will see NWAC South Region sixth-place team from a year ago, Chemeketa, as well as 2025 NWAC quarter-finalist Walla Walla.

Four days later, they will turn around to eastern Washington one more time to battle with the Vikings of Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, Wash. 

Two days after their final regular-season excursion over the mountains, Green River hosts the NWAC Volleyball Crossover. Everett Community College, Wenatchee Valley College and Clark College will all converge onto the GRC main campus for eight contests between September 11th and 12th, which will crown an NWAC Crossover Winner during the first and second place seeding game on September 12th at 2:00 p.m.

These non-region match ups are the build-up to West Region play for the Gators. This begins September 16th at home at 6:30 p.m. against Tacoma Community College.

NWAC West Region play includes 12 match ups for GRC. Home-and-home contests with Tacoma, Pierce, Centralia, South Puget Sound, Highline, and Lower Columbia in that order, ending with Sophomore Night against SPSCC on Friday, October 23rd at 6:30 p.m. in The Swamp.

All home West Region games for the Gators will start at 6:30 p.m.
